This is an established sales letter website selling a chicken recipes ebook.
We did research into what the 101 most sought after chicken recipes were, and this book is a result of that.
This ebook has made around 20 sales at prices between $19.97 and $7 since it launched in May 2006, but that isn't really very good given the amount of traffic the website receives.
I haven't had time to experiment with different headlines and ads for this project, and this is the main reason I am selling it on. I am too busy working on other projects.
I tried buying traffic via PPC after launching this site, but this did not prove to be profitable so I stopped this after a week or two. Maybe with the right kind of ad and a low CPC this could work! I haven't experimented much!
There are no ongoing expenses with this website, just annual renewal of the domain name, which is registered until 4th of April 2009, and hosting which is very cheap.
I am quite happy to assist the buyer with the transferring of the domain name and website, if this is needed.
WAYS TO MAKE MONEY:-
The buyer can do anything they want with this project and you are buying all and complete exclusive rights to the website and ebook. Some ideas include:-
- Selling "Private Label Rights" (PLR) to the ebook and website.
This is probably the easiest way to make a profit from this site. Offer rights to sell the ebook and use the recipes for site content to just 50 people at $37 and you will make $1850, more than doubling or trebling your investment in this project! Obviously I could do this myself, but I'm far too busy with other projects at the moment, so you could make an easy profit with this idea alone.
- Selling the ebook as it is. You can experiment with different prices and headlines and try to increase sales.
- Give the cookbook away, and use it as a lead generation tool to get people onto your mailing list. Monetize the ebook with affiliate links and other related offers.
- Use the recipes as content for an email mailing list. You could send the subscriber a unique chicken recipe twice a week for A YEAR! That's a lot of exposure to your affiliate links.
- Use the recipes as unique content for a recipes website and pull in traffic from the search engines. Make money from Google Adsense and affiliate offers.
- Use the recipes as unique content for a recipe blog. You can then link back to the ebook, or affiliate offers.
- Approach websites or companies related to chicken and offer them the rights to a branded version of the cookbook that they can give to their customers for free as a promotional item.
TRAFFIC:-
The website gets an average of around 1500 unique visitors per month from the search engines and affiliates who promote the site, and this is before the effects of a recent article marketing campaign kicks in.
To buy a click from Google Adwords and be listed somewhere in the top 3 spots you would expect to pay an average of $0.15-20 per click. This gives the monthly traffic a value of around $225 to $300 per month, which you are getting for free.
